Is GeauxTrax in stock? How fast does it ship?
Yes — kits are in stock and ship from our Kansas City, MO warehouse in 3–5 business days via UPS Ground. Free shipping is included to anywhere in the contiguous United States. You’ll get tracking as soon as the label prints.
How do I pay? Is checkout secure?
Checkout is powered by Shopify and supports major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay when those wallets are enabled on the store. Payment is captured when you place the order.
Do I really not need an installer?
Nope. If you can work a cordless drill and stand on a stepladder, you can install GeauxTrax. The whole system is screw-down base → snap-on cover, with cut-to-length pieces included for finishing. Most homeowners finish a 150' home in a Saturday.
What's PETG and why does it matter?
PETG is a tough, UV-stabilized plastic — the same family used for medical devices and outdoor signage. It won't yellow, warp, or get brittle the way PVC does. Expected service life is 10–15 years outdoors in direct sun.
Do your kits include the lights?
No — GeauxTrax is the track system only. It's built specifically for Govee Permanent Outdoor Pro H706A, H706B, and H706C pucks and wire, which you buy separately from Govee. It does not fit Govee Lite, Elite, or H705 systems.
Does it work with Trimlight, Jellyfish, EverLights, or other brands?
Not today. The channel dimensions, puck spacing, and wire routing are all tuned to the Govee Permanent Outdoor Pro system. Other brands use different puck shapes and cable gauges that won't seat correctly. If you're on another system, reach out — we're tracking demand.
What if I measure wrong?
Round up. Every kit includes 4 long corners (2 with lights, 2 without), extra cut-to-length pieces, and end caps — so there's room for real-world fudge. If you're way off, individual pieces ship next-day.
How does it attach to my house?
You screw the 4' base tracks up into your soffit (the underside of your roof overhang) with exterior-grade screws. Most soffits are vinyl, aluminum, or a thin wood board — standard exterior #8 screws work for wood, self-drilling screws work for vinyl and aluminum. Screws aren't included; use what your soffit takes. The cover and corner pieces snap on over the top and the wire hides underneath.
Can I take it down for repairs?
Yes. Snap covers come off without tools, so you can access wiring, swap a bad puck, or pull it all down if you're replacing your roof. Then re-snap when done.
What color is the track?
GeauxTrax ships in two standard colors: clean matte white and matte black. Pick whichever blends into your soffit or trim. Both are paintable with exterior latex if you want a specific match.
What if I want a different color?
We can run custom colors for an added cost — great for HOAs or homes with a non-standard trim color. Email sales@geauxtrax.com with the color you're after (a paint code or photo is perfect) and we'll come back with pricing and lead time.
When will my kit ship?
Orders placed by 2 PM Central on a business day typically ship the same or next business day. Total transit is 3–5 business days from our Kansas City, MO warehouse to anywhere in the lower 48 via UPS Ground. You’ll get tracking as soon as the label prints.
Do you ship to Canada or internationally?
We don't have international shipping set up yet. Free shipping covers the contiguous United States; customers in Alaska or Hawaii should email sales@geauxtrax.com for a shipping quote.
Does the track hold up in cold weather?
Yes. PETG stays flexible and impact-resistant down to well below freezing — it won't crack or become brittle in cold climates the way some plastics do. The track is engineered to handle the same outdoor conditions as the Govee Pro lights themselves.
How does GeauxTrax hold up to UV, rain, and heat?
PETG is UV-stabilized and weather-resistant — it won't yellow, warp, or degrade in direct sun, rain, or heat. We expect 10–15 years of outdoor service life under normal conditions.
Will the track work on stucco, brick, or vinyl siding?
Yes. GeauxTrax mounts to your soffit (the underside of your roof overhang), which is almost always vinyl, aluminum, or a wood board — so the material of your exterior walls doesn't matter for the install. Sarah B.'s home in Sulphur, LA has vinyl siding; our founder's home in Phoenix is stucco — both installed cleanly. If your soffit is an unusual material or you'd rather mount to the wall directly, email sales@geauxtrax.com with a photo and we'll confirm the right fasteners.
Can I install GeauxTrax on a two-story or multi-story home?
Yes. The 200' Large Home Kit is sized for larger two-story homes. You'll need a taller ladder for upper rooflines — factor that into your tool prep before you start.
What tools do I need?
Cordless drill, stepladder, tape measure, and a utility knife. A miter saw is strongly recommended for clean angled cuts at corners. That's it.
Can I paint the track to match my trim?
Yes — both matte white and matte black are paintable with standard exterior latex paint. Lightly scuff the surface first and use a paint rated for plastics for best adhesion.
What's the difference between Govee Permanent Outdoor Pro and Govee Permanent Outdoor Lite?
GeauxTrax fits Govee Permanent Outdoor Pro H706A, H706B, and H706C only. The Lite, Elite, and H705 systems use different puck, wire, or connector dimensions and won't seat correctly in this track. Double-check your model before ordering.
What's the return policy?
Email sales@geauxtrax.com within 30 days of delivery if there's an issue with your order. Unused kits in original condition are eligible for return; we'll work through the details with you directly.
Is there a warranty?
GeauxTrax backs the track components against defects in materials and workmanship. Email sales@geauxtrax.com with photos and your order info and we'll make it right.
