Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 20, 2026. GeauxTrax LLC (“GeauxTrax,” “we,” “us”) builds permanent outdoor lighting track for homeowners and installers. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit geauxtrax.com, fill out a form, or contact our business phone line, and how we use it.
What we collect
- Contact information you submit on the homepage contact form, waitlist form, or quote request — typically name, email address, ZIP code, phone number, and a short message.
- Order information processed by Shopify when you purchase a kit. Shopify handles your payment details directly; we never see full card numbers. Affirm processes any pay-over-time purchases under its own privacy policy.
- Phone and SMS activity when you call or text our business number. Our phone provider (OpenPhone) records call metadata and transcribes voicemails so we can respond.
- Browsing analytics — page views, clicks, and UTM/source parameters — collected by Google Analytics 4, Vercel Analytics, and PostHog. These tools may set cookies and may record approximate (city-level) location and device information.
- Email delivery events — opens, clicks, bounces, and delivery status — captured by Resend so we can confirm our replies to your inquiries actually reach you.
How we use it
- To respond to your quote, waitlist, or contact request.
- To process and ship orders, including necessary sharing with our fulfillment, payment (Shopify, Affirm), and shipping partners.
- To improve the website — what guides people read, which kit pages convert, which install photos resonate.
- To measure marketing campaigns we run on Facebook, Instagram, and Google Ads, and to retarget visitors who showed interest.
- To prevent fraud, spam, and abuse of our forms and phone line.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share only what is required with the vendors that run our website and operations, under their own privacy commitments:
- Vercel — website hosting and edge analytics
- Neon — encrypted PostgreSQL database for form submissions and lead events
- Shopify — store, checkout, and order data
- Affirm — buy-now-pay-later financing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- OpenPhone — business phone, SMS, and voicemail
- Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, PostHog, Meta Pixel — site analytics and ad attribution
Cookies and tracking
We use first-party and third-party cookies for analytics and ad measurement. You can disable cookies in your browser settings or install a privacy extension. Most of the site, including browsing kits and reading guides, works fine without them.
Your choices
- Email updates: any marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
- Text messages: reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for support.
- Access, correction, or deletion: email omar@geauxtrax.com with your request and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
GeauxTrax is a home-improvement product and not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Security
We transmit data over HTTPS, store form submissions in an encrypted database, and limit who on our small team can access it. No system is perfectly secure, so we recommend not sending sensitive information (such as government IDs or full payment card numbers) through our contact forms.
Changes
When we update this policy we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will also be announced on the homepage for at least 14 days.
