Is this the right size for your home?

Best for: mid-size homes, 1,800–2,400 sq ft

The 150′ Standard Kit is our most popular option, sized for a mid-size single-story home or a standard-perimeter roofline. If your home is roughly 1,800–2,400 sq ft, the 150′ kit is the right call. It includes enough material to wrap the full roofline perimeter without needing add-on pieces for most layouts.

To measure: Walk the perimeter of your home under the roofline and note every straight run and corner where you want lights. Add up the linear feet. If you're between kit sizes, round up — you can always trim cut-to-length pieces down; you can't add footage you didn't order.

Why is the 150′ kit the most popular?

The typical single-story home in the US has a roofline perimeter between 120 and 160 feet. The 150′ kit is sized to cover that range comfortably, with cut-to-length pieces for the final finishing. If you're unsure, measure and round up to 150.

Can I install this on a two-story home myself?

Yes. You'll need a taller ladder for the upper roofline — a 24–28 ft extension ladder handles most two-story homes. The install process is the same: screw the base tracks up into the soffit, snap on the cover. Most homeowners finish a 150′ two-story in a full weekend.

Does the track hold up in cold weather?

Yes. PETG stays flexible and impact-resistant down to well below freezing — it won't crack or become brittle in cold climates the way some plastics do.
